Mantra of Kahwa

2025 | 65 Minutes

Watch Trailer

This film tells the story of Sumatran coffee through the lives of farmers, their relationship with the forest, and the traditions that grow from coexisting with nature. Coffee farming practices are presented not only as a production activity, but as a way of life that maintains ecological balance. The film introduces the concept of Tantu, an invisible sacred thread that binds humans, nature, and culture through generations. Tantu serves as both the narrative core and a visual metaphor that guides the film’s rhythm and connects the farmers’ personal experiences with the vast ecological landscape.
